Bex Cooper's very first Crossbank Dental Care blog....

Updated: Jun 25

Welcome to my very first Crossbank Dental Care blog! Why start now?

There hangs a tale…..

It was Monday morning and I was dashing towards the car after feeding pets, children, packing bags, preparing for work and only just meeting the early daytime deadlines, when I forced myself to just stop….And breathe.

After dropping everyone off where they should be, I sat in my car and thought about my business, my team, my website, marketing, and about who I am, and how all of this crazy life we lead fits together.

So, allow me to indulge myself and explain.

I am Bex Cooper. I am a business owner, school governor, solicitor and trustee of a charitable trust fund. Personally speaking I am a wife, mother, daughter, aunt and horse guardian!

I have been a director here since 2016, mainly working behind the scenes until 2020, when life took an unexpected turn - as it did for many of us that year, due to Covid. I'm familiar with the world of dentistry as back in 2002 I married Neil Cooper, Principal Dentist/Director here at Crossbank Dental Care, so I've learnt a lot from him over the years with his excitement to share his passion about all things dental!

Maybe I’m a frustrated writer or maybe I just want to over-share, but I am filled with joy by this fabulous practice & our amazing team - so I have decided to make it my mission to write a new blog to post on our website every month.

I am hoping this blog will give readers an insight into what happens behind the scenes in our dental practice, sharing perspectives from my unique role and giving reassurance to other women juggling their roles.

In addition to team spotlights and showcasing our services, I would like to discuss topics like creating purpose-driven workplaces, building inclusive cultures, professional development opportunities, and much more. I am a sociable being who enjoys getting to know folks, so if you would like to "chat" please get in touch with me.

In the meantime, I hope you are going to enjoy my monthly ramblings that started (literally) on a manic Monday when amongst all the chaos and “noise”, I decided to do something for myself. Surely that’s not too selfish!

More soon

Love Bex x
